Who's Hot, Who's Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh is how I like to order steaks...charred on the outside, very rare on the inside. Kind of like the Diamond Kings pitching staff. Charred and beat on the outside, but otherwise raw and bloody inside.

On that note, lets look at the hot and nots of the Wailing Onion.

In the Nationall, Buffalo is streaking at 9-1 and riding a five-game winning streak. The Wings have a 3.0 game lead in the East. Close behind is Colorado Springs, who is 8-2 in its past 10 games with a league-high six-game winning streak. Cheez has a nine-game lead in the west and is one game behind Buffalo for the best record in the National.

Stinking up the joint in the Senior Circuit is Columbus. The Come Froms are 2-8 in their past 10 games and amid a three-game stinker. While we're at it, the entire NL North is putrid. Cinci is atop the division at five games under .500. Burlington (five), Chicago (four), Columbus (three) are each riding losing streaks and playing under .500 ball in the past 10 games.

The American League's hottest team is Cleveland. The Onion's best record at 39-14. The biggest division lead at 10 games. An 8-2 record in the last 10 games. And that steroid pumping freak Nerio Turner. It seems all is well in the mistake by the lake.

Boston has run into a bad stretch. The Minutemen are 1-9 in their past 10 and clinging to a two game lead in the East.
