Through Saturday Morning...

The season is only 2-3 games old, but why not begin the overanalyzation that you have come to expect from the OnionBall.
  • Pittsburgh a division leader? Is bent the second coming or is it just REALLY early?
  • KC's Al Mendoza caught the Nerio Fever. Four home runs in 13 ABs.
  • Speaking of Nerio, he has a pair in three games. That's one every six at bats, which means if he takes 600 ABs then...never mind.
  • KC has scored 23 runs in three games.
  • Apparently, being patient at the plate wasn't a focus during spring training. 18 pitchers tallied at least seven strikeouts in their season debut. Four pitchers -- Dustin Keagle//AUS (11), Gordon DiSarcina//RIC (10), Ugey Neruda//KC (9) and Santos Bautista//MEM (9) struck out 9+.
  • Seattle's Len Heiserman signed for $15.4M in the off-season. He's 0-for-7 with two walks and an RBI.
  • J.J. Lambert got $6m per from Nashvegas. He gave up eight hits, five runs and four homers in a loss.
